Active Citizens during the Holiday Season

The Grades 7/8F and 8M students are filling shoeboxes to be sent to needy children around the world. They are doing this for a section on being active citizens in their Social Studies program. The boxes will be sent to either a boy or girl from ages 2-14 years old; these children may be affected by war, poverty and/or natural disasters. The boxes contain items like crayons, paper, toothbrushes, small toys and wrapped candy. They are planning to continue the project next year and hope to increase the number of boxes.
